If you’re a mompreneur, then odds are you’re like me. My mind spins a mile a minute, constantly churning out new ideas and ways to earn an income from home. Anytime I say to my husband, “honey, guess what I thought of today,” he immediately chuckles and says, “what is it this time?” I know he thinks I’m nuts when I tell him I’ve thought of the latest and greatest thing to make our family millionaires, but he humors me every time. You see, his idea of becoming a millionaire has to do with a dollar and a lottery ticket. Now, my idea of becoming a millionaire has to do with never settling for what I have or where I am. I always dream big. In my opinion, it’s the only way to do it. No one is going to make a million dollars if their dream is to only make a hundred.
Setting goals is the most important part of building your business. Without them, you have no direction. No purpose. No measurable value for success. And it’s not just about the act of setting goals as it is about the content of the goals themselves. Dream big. You’ll never get to where you want to be if you settle.
As we move into a new year, most people are busy setting their “new year’s resolutions.” I’m not a big fan of the word “resolutions.” Resolutions, it seems, are meant to be broken. They rarely succeed and are easily forgotten. I want you to take this opportunity to use that fast moving brain of yours to develop goals rather than resolutions this year. But don’t just think about your business. As a mompreneur, your priorities aren’t just in the board room, they’re in the play room, the kitchen, the laundry room, etc. Set goals for not only your career, but for your kiddos, your family and most importantly-your self.
To help you get started, I’d like to offer you a Free Printable Goals Worksheet to help you set your goals. This worksheet is the kick off to our new series of printable organizers and planners that will be available to our members in 2012. It will print in color on an 8.5″ by 11″ sheet of paper and will allow you to jot down your business, family and personal goals for the upcoming year. Once you’ve set your sights on the sky, post your worksheet somewhere you visit daily, like your refrigerator, calendar, bathroom mirror, etc., so that you are constantly reminded of what you’re working towards and you never let your goals out of your sight.
I wish you all the best for 2012! I have a lot of exciting things planned for this year to help you grow your businesses and I’m so happy you’ve decided to hang around here to take advantage of them!
By the way, feel free to share this post and offer this free Goal Worksheet to your friends. Surely you know someone else who could use some help dreaming big!

Hi there
Great idea and just what I need for 2012!
I’m having trouble downloading the document so wondered if it’s still available?

Thanks, Lisa! Pinterest is on my to do list for 2012 too! Belinda, it’s still available, but it’s a large file size and takes a few minutes to load. Why don’t you give it a try again? If you still have trouble, let me know and I’ll be happy to email it to you!
The goal sheet is not loading for me either. It says sorry unable to download. If you get a minute would you send this to me via email? Great sheet and I would love to use it!! Thanks!!
HI! I can’t get the goal sheet to load for me either, can you email it to me as well? Thank you so much.
